Special Orgy Session with Blue8118: IT Show 2009

Once again, after a month of not meeting out, me and Nathalia of Blue8118.com hang out again. This time, it is at the IT Show 2009. We arranged to meet at the last minute. She wanted to look for a camera at the IT Show, but had no kaki (friends) to accompany with. It so happened that I wanted to go there for a jalan jalan session. After an exchange over the phone, we decided to meet at City Hall MRT at 4.30pm. By the way, the date was 13 March 2009. After some delays, we decided to meet directly at the Suntec Convention Centre. Upon reaching, my mind was only on the matter of finding Nathalia in the soon-to-be overflowing crowd. When I saw and about to approach her, Zhennan, sneaked from behind. I was surprised. Zhennan and some others were accompanying Kiat Sheng who bought a new set of speakers for his gaming addiction personal pleasure. As Jose and Wei Hao was there, it was not that embarrassing to introduce Nathalia. (Oh, I did not say about our clubbing experience. I should.) And I hoped that they explained to the rest who she was in detail. Just to side track this was my conversation with Zhennan:

Z: Eh? YH is up there leh…

Me: What? No way! No way he is going to know who Nathalia is.

Z: Ya… Wait he goes…

I shall not continue, partly because I forgotten what was the exact exchange of words, and partly I know that guy’s character pretty well. He cannot be around with girls, he will embarrass himself and the people around him endlessly. Luckily, we did not bump into him.

We then continued upwards to the IT Show. It was suffocating. The floor space was extended to the third level, when last year’s was only on the forth and sixth levels. Still, it felt that the space was not enough for everyone. We went to collect flyers to see what camera models were on the offering floor. While walking around, we played hide and seek with Eugene and Wee Chan. Someone, ahem, did not want to meet one of the two.

We then met Brennan and bumped into Eng Chye at the same time. Oh yeah! My online and offline social circles are a step closer to integration! Brennan said, ”The IT Show is a mass orgy of IT idiots gathering together.” How true is that? I cannot comment, since we are a bunch of people who do follow the development of technology to some extent. Thereafter, we were joined by Eugene and Wee Chan for dinner. We had our dinner at the food court at the fountain area. We had to walk there from the Convention Centre. Eugene managed to take this shot of a group of dao kia protecting a Taiwan zai. As if! From the left and back and in clockwise order, Eng Chye, Me, Wee Chan, Brennan and Nathalia. Eugene was the photographer. And oh, did I mention that they (Eugene and Wee Chan) managed to get contacts of 2 show floor girls? Tsk tsk tsk. Playing hide and seek with us was a blessing in disguise for them!

After dinner, the group parted. Left only Nathalia and me again. We went for a round 2 walk around the IT Show. After awhile, we decided to adjourn to RC2 — an online reference to Raffles City 2nd Starbucks branch, which is facing CHIJMES. Along the way, we popped by the Burberry Sale. The items there were on offer up to 90%. However, even after discount, the items were not affordable to us. The high end items were priced over $1000 before discount. After discount of 90% at the most, it was still $100 at the most. Even the lower end ones are within our price range. OK, back to Starbucks. Nathalia ordered more deserts there while I drank plain coffee (at $4??). With Brennan around, her appetite cannot be easy sated. I had to avoid milk for the entire week. The only drink they offered that had no milk was their house brew. RC2 is perfect for studying, but I seriously need my earphones there. It can be noisy.

We then went back home after this.
