The older generation had dreams and of course regrets. A friend of mine related this:

Father: Only if your agong and ama had the money, I would have further my education and won’t be earn only measly $7000 to $8000.

Friend: Dad, if agong and ama had the money, you would probably be bumming around doing nothing productive instead of like now earning $7000 to $8000 and still being sought after.

Oh well, I guess I got to grasp to whatever I have now and make full use of the education I am going through now.

Funny how sometimes children’s words seem more logical than the parents.
